The Credit Administrator I is responsible for providing outstanding customer service by promptly and accurately processing credit applications, customer statements and timely collection follow-up.

• Promptly and accurately process customer credit applications.
• Research and reconcile statement errors and discrepancies and verify and process requests for adjustments to customers’ accounts.
• Conduct credit investigations by telephone, internet and direct contact with field personnel for area credit manager’s review.
• Coordinate collection activities on specifically assigned accounts as directed by area credit manager.
• Receive or initiate telephone calls with customers, field personnel, creditors and credit reporting agencies as directed by supervisor. Take appropriate action to resolve problems and provide customer assistance as needed.
• Neatly and accurately prepare collection letters and other related communications as directed.
• Prepare accounts for referral to legal counsel.
• Submit accounts to collection agencies as directed by area credit manager and maintain accurate records for easy referral.
• Maintain up-to-date filing systems for easy referral and access to customer information.
• Assist in preparation of special reports as directed.
• Prepare affidavits as requested.
• Report any problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor.
• Know and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Follow posted work schedule, and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers. Keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Two years’ business school or college with emphasis on accounting, finance, business administration or economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Oracle JDE/EnterpriseOne systems preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Must have computer and 10-key experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
